college partying

It always sounds like a good time. And I'll admit, it usually is. Dancing with friends and guys to really loud music is pretty fun.

Not so much tonight. Just wasn't to up to it. The party felt more like an obligation than a choice to go. I was tired, everytime I went into the party I got an instant headache and on top of all that, I'm currently going through what only women go through once a month. (trying not to be too graphic.) So most of the time I was in the front hall hanging with the people I knew.

Sitting and watching allows you to take in some of the images that come along with partying that you might not always see cuz you're too busy partying. You know that they're there, but you don't actually SEE anything. As I sat there blowing up balloons and hitting my friend Mat with them, I see the following sights:

1. My completely shit-faced friend stumble in and out of the party, eventually leaving with some guy she knows.
2. A girl getting hyserical because she lost her iPhone and her friends helping her look for it. (LESSON HERE: when going to parties, have pockets for phones.)
3. A somewhat sober friend of mine trying to get another shit-faced friend of mine to eat something so when she walks she doesn't walk right into the trashcan.
4. Many Asians smoking God knows what.

So I leave. I was falling asleep as it was. I'm glad I'm not looking at that shit anymore. The party is gonna shut down in 16 minutes.

Be safe everybody. Keep your phones in your pockets.
