the value of a good couch

I cannot be the only person ever to have thought about how great a good couch feels.

This past weekend I chilled and slept on the most comfortable couch i have ever encountered. It was fantastic. The RC of the house, I'll call him Pastor (since that is his real job), went to Atlantic City Friday to Saturday, leaving my housemate in charge of his labradoodle, Daisy. Of course that means I got to hang out in their apartment with two of my housemates and another friend. this couch was so comfortable i almost fell asleep on it, but only pretended to. (And as it turns out I'm really good at pretending to be asleep). Me and my housemate would later sleep on this couch so the dog wouldn't be alone in the apartment all night. Slept like a rock for most of the night. The tv woke me up around 5 am and then i slept again.

This couch has led me on a quest to find more amazingly comfortable couches and chairs and things of that nature.

So far I have been kind of successful, in that I have found an amazing chair. It sits with another chair just like it in the friendship room of village lutheran church across the street from school. it has a remote that allows you to recline soooooooooooo far back, and pushes you forward to the point where it helps you stand. (Me and my friend james, who sat in the other exact same chair, decided they were for old people who can't get out of chairs so easily anymore.) Pastor would later find us fully reclined and comfortable, which would cause him to make fun of us. But it was totally worth it.

So what have we learned today?

A good couch can lead to a good night's sleep, good memories and a quest to find more just like it.
